Release Blitz: Seducing Kaden by Siobhan Davis

SBPR-RB-BANNER.jpg

Seducing Kaden, an all-new taboo romance from USA Today bestselling author Siobhan Davis is LIVE!

SeducingKadenFinal-FJM_Kindle_1800x2700.jpg

Kaden

The woman I love will never be mine because she already belongs to another.

I’ve tried everything to forget her, but it’s impossible when she occupies a starring role in my dreams. My eyes are glued to her shapely curves whenever I see her around campus, and it doesn’t help that she looks as miserable as I feel.

I wonder if she misses me as much as I miss her.

Short of putting a bullet through the skull of that gangster she’s married to, I’m stuck in a hellhole of my own making.

Until fate intervenes, setting us on a collision course we can’t avoid.

Evelina

When I was a little girl, I dreamed of falling in love. The all-consuming sweep-you-off-your-feet kind of love I swooned over in movies.

It didn’t take long for that fairytale notion to come crashing down around me. Now I’m trapped in a marriage I despise with no way out.

The only light in the dark is Kaden Kennedy—the one true love of my life. He doesn’t know he is, because I’m forced to love him from afar, condemned to toss and turn at night, crying over everything I want and all I can never have.

Seeing him day in, day out, destroys me, but there’s no other choice; I had to push him away to keep him safe.

Because if my husband ever finds out I’m in love with another man, I won’t be the only one in danger.

While you don’t need to read the earlier books in this series to enjoy Seducing Kaden, it is highly recommended. This book is a contemporary new adult romance, and it is only suitable for readers aged eighteen and older due to mature content, sexual situations, and language.

This story includes details of an extramarital affair, so if you don’t like cheating or controversial storylines, then this book isn’t for you.

Review: REBEL HEIR by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland

3018B882-A85D-46BB-A80C-FB05BCE6D341REBEL HEIR by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland

I love to read ANYTHING Penelope Ward or Vi Keeland writes. But there’s something really special about the books they have started writing together. Their voices flow as one, but so beautifully that they end up with a masterpiece. Rebel Heir is their best masterpiece yet!!

Both Penelope and Vi are great at writing awesome characters. Well, Rush and Gia are two AMAZING book characters!! I am SO in love with them!! They are both complex, but come across to people completely differently. While Gia is just Miss Bucket Full of Sunshine when she walks in a door, Rush is Mr. Don’t Look at Me or I’ll Blow A Gasket when he walks in a door. But Gia’s sunshine is just what Rush needs and Rush’s….well RUSH is what Gia needs!!
 .
I love complex characters, and Rush is a complex character! He has many layers that need peeling back. Gia is just the girl to do it, as much as Rush fights the process.

.

This book is a definite page-turner, and it ends with you wanting book two in this duet ASAP!! Good news is, our girls Penelope and Vi are quick to satisfy and will be releasing book 2 of the Rush series, Rebel Heart, on May 22, 2018!
So if you haven’t read Rebel Heir, READ IT NOW!! Don’t miss this amazing start to this duet!!

Lia Abbie has the easy life—kicking it back with old school video games,
hanging out with her best friend Barnabas, and alternating her living schedule
between the apartments of her two dads and her mom.

Kiev Jimenez is a theater geek who loves him some Shakespeare and taking care
of his pet armadillo. He has one set goal in life: obtaining the role of
Horatio for the Hamlet school play.

When a showdown between Lia and Kiev lands them in the principal’s office,
they’re forced into volunteer work at the cringe-worthy Piggy Palooza Festival,
or risk being suspended. Lia and Kiev aren’t thrilled about the situation,
especially when it interferes with Lia’s relaxed life and Kiev’s theater role.
But by working together, they may find more than just bacon—possibly a little
love in the air.

Excerpt:
The door is
already wide open. Mr. Walker is missing in action, but two guys are already
there—Tweedle Jerk and Tweedle Jerkier.
I’m not
dealing with this crap today. I march up to Cole, who is sitting in my seat
again, and watch as Kiev’s eyes seem to follow me all the way until I’m
standing in between both of them.
“You need
to get out of my seat,” I say to Cole. Does he have his usual basketball shirt
on today? He does.
He holds up
both hands like he’s trying to tame a wild boar. “Calm down. Calm down, Miss
Ophelia Abbie. The bell has not announced the start of this oh-so-wonderful
class.”
I give him
a look of disdain. “Enough with the Ophelia stuff.”
“What’s
wrong with the name Ophelia?” Kiev pipes in. “It’s like the name from Hamlet.”
“What?” I
turn to Kiev, not sure what this idiot is talking about.
“You know,
O-phe-li-a.” He draws the name out super slowly to get his point across.
“I don’t
give a crap about Hamlet—that has nothing to do with my name,” I huff.
Tapping his
fingers on the desk like he’s typing on a keyboard, Kiev stares at my face.
“Are you sure your parents didn’t name you after the character?”
“Who the hell
names their kid after a stupid Shakespearian play?” I’ve read two, and I hated
them both.
“Plenty of
people. Juliet Weaver, in our grade, was named after Romeo and Juliet.”
“Quit being
pretentious.”
“Quit being
a—”
I narrow my
eyes at him. “A what?”
“You know
what you’re being.”
“Shut up,
Kiev. Oh, my parents named me after the capital of Russia, because I’m such an
important person who has to answer questions for people when they don’t need
help answering!” I yell.
“Um, Kiev
is actually the capital of Ukraine.” He bobs his head. “You know that, right?”
I hear Cole’s loud hooting to my right.
That’s it!
Without thinking, I slam my fist directly into Kiev’s nose.

I always thought I’d like anything as long as you wrapped it in bacon. That is, until Kiev and Lia went to the Piggy Palooza Festival and I read about some of the bacon things they had there. No! I’m not going to tell you! You have to read the book!! But, I will never think that way again.

Ok…I’m getting ahead of myself. If you read the nice little summary that was written to tell you what the book is about, then you know that Kiev and Lia have to volunteer at this festival as a punishment for something that went down at school. No! I’m not going to tell you what that is either! Read the book!

What you need to know is that this book is DEFINITELY WORTH THE READ….SO READ IT!!! Candace Robinson and Gerardo Delgadillo flow beautifully together in this book. These two are a match made in heaven, with regards to writing!! They are both really great at writing characters and making you get completely immersed in their lives. This book has a GREAT CAST OF CHARACTERS!!!

There is:

Kiev Jimenez and his pet armadillo, Pepe (I love Pepe)

Vi (Vienna) Jimenez (Kiev’s sister)

Mr. Jimenez

The Jimenez family are Mexican. Mr. Jimenez emigrated from Mexico before the kids were born. But he insists they only speak Spanish when at home, that way they will always be fluent in the language.

Cole Novotny and his car, Mr. Corey (Cole is Kiev’s best friend)

Lia (Ophelia) Abbie

Amanda (Lia’s Mom)

The Daddies – Dom and Alex (Lia’s Dads)

Lia’s Mom, her dads and Barnabas’ family all live in the same apartment complex, so she can walk from one to another.

Barnabas Lao (Lia’s best friend)

Channery & Dara Lao (Barnabas’ very little sisters)

Mrs. Lao

Sophie Mattox (You’ll see)

So, I don’t normally go to the trouble of writing out an entire cast of characters in my review. But I’m in love with these characters! And maybe I have a little book crush on Kiev! *blush* I KNOW HE’S TOO YOUNG FOR ME, but it’s ok because it’s a book crush…right?

This is a fun book guys! It is a YA Contemporary, but it also has humor, sarcasm (gotta love that), PEPE…I mean an Armedillo, romance (she says with hearts in her eyes), baking, piggies and most importantly BACON PIE!!

So make sure you get your book and ENJOY YOUR BACON PIE!!

Review: The Secret Heir (Alinthia #2) by Siobhan Davis

983857D6-4250-44B9-8A56-A8287BD2A5A2Is it her destiny to save them … or destroy them?

Now that Tori finally understands who she is and what’s expected of her, she’s in full-on freak-out mode. How will she save the galaxy from General Arantu’s clutches when she can’t even control her powers?

Add that to the lack of retaliation by enemy alien forces, and everyone is on edge. Especially when they uncover evidence of a strange alien symbol with possible links to humans, and the mystery deepens, along with their frustration.

But that’s not the only thing keeping Tori awake at night.

Confused over the horrific vision she experienced the night of the Herassan attack, Tori is terrified of revealing details of her protectors’ supposed fate, so she says nothing. Keeping stuff hidden never ends well, and as evil forces conspire against Tori and her four protectors, secrets and lies threaten to destroy everything they hope to achieve. While Tori grows closer to Coop, Maddox, and Beck, Dane remains distant, creating more tension and jeopardizing their bond.

Then an unexpected newcomer arrives, casting suspicion over everything they believe they know.

When Tori finally figures out what’s going on, will she have time to warn the guys? Or is their fate already sealed?

MY REVIEW:

This book has basically left me breathless…
How do I write my review? I feel like I’m an emotional wreck!

Don’t mistaken my anxiousness. I LOVED the book. I actually want to pick it up and read it again. Even with all its emotion and angst. Oh, I thought I was going to turn inside out at times. But I love these characters. That’s the thing!! I ADORE THEM!!! So when they’re dealing with so much, I’m falling apart!!

This second installment of the Alinthia series really brought Tori (Alinthia) closer to each one of her protectors individually. It was so nice to see each one of their personalities, and how they opened up to her. But, of course there are complications and they cause a lot of worry and angst for Tori (Alinthia) and the guys, and therefore we as the reader feel it along with them. I’m not going to say too much about what happens, because you need to read it to find out. But I will say that Siobhan Davis can write a book that you become so invested in while reading it, that it gets under your skin. And my skin is jumpy today! I need the next book ASAP!!! No pressure or anything Siobhan!! Lol!

“Grandmother looked up just then, staring right into my face with those unblinking, birdlike eyes, and said, “Angelica, is that you?”

I tried to answer her, but my mouth wouldn’t even open. Besides, what would I have said if my voice were to have worked?

“Answer me, you. Why are you always hiding from me?” She was peering so intently that the beam of her vision was surely searing my skin.

The feeling of being watched had always been a phobia of mine, the curse of someone who is used to being invisible. Icy terror washed over me, although I wasn’t sure why. I was only sitting in the cabinetry, but if I hadn’t known any better, it felt like I was being caught in the act of murder, knowing my punishment would be the end of my freedom and life.”

“I have always known that I am invisible—I had no idea that eventually I would fade away completely.”

THIS BOOK!!!! It deserves so many shiny stars, and hearts and a nice big trophy! Misty Mount is such an enormously talented writer! The way she was able to develop Zylia Moss’ world and the characters in it, all through just Zylia’s eyes was AMAZING!!! The characters were very well developed. I felt I knew each character well, and the ones that Zylia was closest too…like her sister, Ivy, and her best friend, Terra…I felt that I knew them the best, aside from Zylia of course. Her house, with its many rooms and floors. Her school. Her best friend, Terra’s house, and her dad’s DIY projects leaving the house always array. I could picture these places so well when reading the book. All described through only Zylia’s voice. This is pure gold to me! I love a book where things truly come to life for me. Where I can really picture the people and places, and what is going on, in my head. It makes feel like I have left my world and stepped in to the author’s world for a while, and I can vividly see my surroundings and the people. Books like these are the ones that I go to bed and end up dreaming about afterward, that’s how deeply it affects me.

Zylia has low self-esteem, she’s socially inept, she’s shy, clumsy and very awkward. When she is put in a situation she can’t handle she flies into an anxiety/panic attack. I found it so curious that someone from such a large family would have this problem, but I don’t know, maybe that’s the problem. Maybe being in a large family it’s easy to get lost, ignored, and when you’re a sensitive young child you might develop low self-esteem from that. So, Zylia has retreated and drawn into herself. She has done so much so that many people don’t notice her, even when she right there in the same room with them. She can’t seem to speak up for herself at all, not even to ask for them to pass the mashed potatoes at the family dinner table. She tries, but all the comes out is a whisper. But when you have the parents and six children at the table, the conversation gets pretty loud. So poor Zylia ends up with the last tiny bits of mashed potatoes left in the bowl by the time it gets to her. It’s the same at school and trying to speak up in school or talk to other kids, either a whisper or nothing comes out. If they even notice her, they never hear her. Poor Zylia.

But now, Zylia starts to physically fade away. She’s actually disappearing. I won’t tell you anymore, because you need to read the book to learn the mystery of it all. But you will love it. You’ll love sweet Zylia and her good heart. You will love Zylia’s world, her best friend, her family and more. I don’t want to say too much. But, I will say this! If there were Academy Awards for Authors, I feel that Misty Mount would definitely deserve one!! She is a phenomenal writer!!! I don’t think I have ever read “first person” done SO well!! This is definitely going into my favorites of 2018!!

I recommend you read this NOW!! It’s YA Fantasy/Coming of Age, but you could really add so much more to that label!!!

Excerpt:

“Did somebody hurt you?” My gut knots with the question. You can’t save her, Ethan.

“You could say that.”

I step forward. Maybe that’s why she’s here on this impulsive visit to Jackson Harbor. Maybe she’s running from someone, escaping a home that’s not safe. “Do you have somewhere safe to go?”

“It’s not that kind of hurt,” she whispers. She swallows, and her gaze dips to my mouth. “Why are you so sad?”

Because you remind me of Elena. Because I couldn’t walk away from her either. “I’m just worried about you.” I don’t know if I step closer or if gravity pulls me that way, but in a breath, she’s at my fingertips and my thighs brush her knees.

“Will you do me a favor?” she asks, her attention still on my lips.

“What?”

“Will you kiss me?”

“Nic . . .” I wait for the excuses to find their way onto my tongue, but they don’t, and I realize I don’t want an excuse to walk away from her. My whole body is warm and my fingers itch to touch her. The only thing I want is my mouth on hers. I want to taste her joy and sadness. I want to know how it feels to have that body pressed against mine.

I’m silent a beat too long, and she winces. “Sorry.”

“Don’t be. It’s not that I don’t want to, but you’re vulnerable.”

“Are you always so noble?”

“If you think my thoughts are noble right now, you’re even more naïve than I feared.” I lean my forehead against hers. Christ. Who am I kidding? She’s asking me to do something I’ve been thinking about since I first laid eyes on her. I couldn’t deny her if I wanted to, and I don’t want to. Not even a little.

I cup her face in my hand and run my thumb along her jaw.

She slides a hand behind my neck. “I like the way you look at me. You make me feel sexy. Wanted.”

“Who made you feel like you weren’t?”

“A mistake.”

“Then he didn’t deserve you.” I lower my mouth to hers, telling myself the kiss will be brief, that I won’t get carried away. But then her other hand joins the first behind my neck, and her breasts press against my chest. Her thighs part, and I step between them in my instinctive need to be closer. A soft moan slips from her lips as our mouths connect.

This girl kisses like she does everything else—with unabashed emotion. She doesn’t hide a thing she’s feeling, and I’m hard even before her mouth opens under mine and our tongues sweep across each other.

I thread one hand into her hair and slide the other up her bare leg, my fingers curling into the flesh of her hip while my thumb strokes her inner thigh. Her skirt is bunched around her waist, and it would be so easy to follow this soft skin up and find her panties. She’s making the sexiest sounds, and I’m dying to touch her, to find out if she’s as turned on as she sounds, but I keep my hand where it is and give her the kiss she asked for. I offer the evidence that she’s sexy and desirable, no matter what some asshole made her think.

My Review: The Wrong Kind Of Love by Lexi Ryan

BDB1BD90-CE98-45D0-875F-8392C3892857From New York Times bestseller Lexi Ryan comes a sexy new romance novel about a runaway bride, a single dad who’s sworn off love, and the kind of family secrets that can threaten to break even the deepest bonds.

You never forget your wedding day. Or the moment your twin sister pukes on your bouquet and confesses she’s pregnant . . . with your fiancé’s baby.

I wanted to get away, to hide until my heart mended. I found myself in a strange town with a mysterious stranger whose talented mouth and hands almost made me forget it was supposed to be my wedding night.

Afraid to go home to face my broken life, I pretend to be my twin so I can take her job in Jackson Harbor caring for a six-year-old girl. Imagine my surprise when I find out my new boss is my mysterious stranger—Dr. Ethan Jackson.

I never meant for Ethan to discover my secrets. I never meant for them to matter. But the longer I work with him and his sweet daughter, the harder I fall, and the clearer it becomes that I’m not the only one carrying a secret that could tear us apart.

Get ready to fall for the boys of Jackson Harbor in Lexi Ryan’s sexy new contemporary romance series. These books can all be read as standalones, but you’ll enjoy reading them as a series!

MY THOUGHTS:

Love born in a lie is the wrong kind of love.

This is is definitely one of those “feel all the feels” books!! So good!! In fact, this is going in my favorites of 2018 folder! Now, I have never been one of those reviewers who rewrites the whole summary…so unnecessary. Instead, I think it’s more important to let you know how this book affected me.

Well, the characters in the book were written extremely well. It was so easy to get caught up in the moment of how the character was feeling. Whether it was Nic (Nicole) feeling traumatized by being betrayed by her sister and fiancé, or Ethan feeling swept away by his attraction to her from the moment he first saw her. I felt in tune to each and every one on the character’s emotions. I love that! Fabulously written characters!

The physical attraction between the two of them was instant, but the falling in love took some time to get to know each other. Beautifully done! But the two characters had so much baggage that it made nothing easy. They had to work for this relationship.

Lilly, Ethan’s daughter. She was a sweet character. Seeing her relationship with her father was endearing, he was so dedicated to being a good father. She adored him. But she also adores her grandmother, Ethan’s mother, Kathleen. She’s loved and spoiled by all her Uncles and her Aunt Shayleigh or Shay.

Ethan’s large family are wonderful! I’m in love with them already, and I can’t wait to read all their stories! It’s nice because we get a little peak at who they all are in this book. I’m wondering who the next book will be about!!  Oh. My. Goodness. Lexi has put up the next two books (without covers) on Goodreads! Keep your eye out for the next books from The Boys of Jackson Harbor.

Straight Up Love, Jake’s story, releases in May, and Dirty Reckless Love, Levi’s story, releases in August!!!!!!!

The Wrong Kind Of Love is a MUST READ!! Put it on your TBR NOW!! You WON’T want to miss it!!
